On Sunday evening we headed up to Ivanhoe's for dinner. Jennifer, Alex, Grace, Lou, Layla, Chris and I went. We had a great time.

Layla's Daddy!

Chris, Layla's dad, brought it to my attention that there is no mention of him on the blog. He is a wonderful husband and daddy. His nickname for Layla is Darlin'. They love spending time together. Layla is named after Chris' favorite musician Eric Clapton.

Best Stage Presence

Layla has been in dancing and gymnastics lessons for 3 years. In July she was in a dance recital. She won a very special award. Out of all the recreational dancers and gymnasts she was given the award for BEST STAGE PRESENCE. She had no idea and was very surprised. The trophy even had her name on it.

First day of KINDERGARTEN

On August 17th Layla went to her first day of all day kindergarten. She loves school. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday her Grandma takes her to school and on Tuesday and Thursday Melissa takes her. She rides the bus home to her Nana and Poppy's house.

Layla's 6th birtday!

We recently celebrated Layla's 6th birthday. We had a party at her Nana and Poppy's house. We rented a moonwalk and had a water balloon fight.
